Die Compilationreihe Big City Beats geht nun bereits in die 16. Runde und wird, wie ihre 15 Vorgänger auch, wieder es sicherlich wieder in die Top Ten der deutschen Compilation Charts schaffen. Und das völlig zu Recht, denn wo Big City Beats drauf steht sind diese auch enthalten.
Drei randvolle CDs mit 60 Titeln, gemixt von den Machern des BigCityBeats Sounds Marco Petralia, Steve Blunt und Sebastian Gnewkow, das ist elektronische Tanzmusik der obersten Güteklasse. Schaut man sich an, wer hier alles vertreten ist, dann sieht man schon die Speerspitze der Szene. Untergliedert ist die 3 CD-Box in Big City Beats Arena (CD 1), Sommertagtraum (CD 2, die offizielle CD zum SommerTagTraum Festival mit David Guetta, Taio Cruz und Flo Rida) und Big City Beats Club (CD3). So ist auch jede CD ein wenig unterschiedlich ausgefallen. Am besten gefällt mir die Big City Beats Arena mit einem entspannteren rhythmischen Ausrichtung. Das ist aber sicherlich reine Geschmacksache.
Freunde elektronischer Tanzmusik können mit Big City Beats 16 jedenfalls nichts falsch machen. Gut 4 Stunden Musik zum Abtanzen oder einfach zur Partybeschallung. Gelungen.
