Raul Campos ist Radio-DJ in Santa Monica, also grundsätzlich schon mal für ein cooles Album prädestiniert. Mit Loteria Beats Mixtape Vol. 1 präsentiert er ein Mixtape, das aus einem Flow unterschiedlicher Gruppen und Songs besteht, wie etwa dem Nortec Collective aus Tijuana, The Pinker Tones aus Barcelona oder dem Mexican Institute of Sound aus Mexico City. Ebenfalls vertreten ist aber auch der Brasilianer Sergio Mendes feat. die Black Eyed Peas.

Aus all diesen unterschiedlichen Latin- und Elektronik-Acts mischt Raul Campos (leider?) ein recht homogenes Tape zusammen, das sich für die bald startenende Stadtstrandsaison eignen dürfte bzw. auch für den ein oder anderen Club, der Latin-Akzente setzen möchte - ansonsten bedeutet die Homogenität auf Lotería Beats Mixtape Vol. 1 etwas zu viel Langeweile...
