METAL CHURCH - Drummer steigt aus

METAL CHURCH - Jede Menge Neuigkeiten erreichen uns aus der Metal-Kanzel: Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen hat der Schlagwerker Kirk Arrington METAL CHURCH verlassen müssen. Hierzu das Statement des Gitarristen Kurdt Vanderhoof:

"Due to health complications from years of struggling with diabetes, Kirk Arrington has stepped down as the drummer for Metal Church. Heshall be missed and we wish him only the best. But we are very proud to announce that he will be replaced by the 'one and only' Mr. Jeff Plate!!! (Savatage, Chris Caffery, Trans Siberian Orchestra). We are very honored to have a musician of Jeff's caliber working with us and we know that he will do a fantastic job in Metal Church."

Auch Jeff Plate gibt zum Wechsel an den Fellen folgendes bekannt:

"Having toured with Kurdt Vanderhoof, who opened for Savatage in Europe, and touring with Chris Caffery, who opened for Metal Church, and Vanderhoof's association with TSO(small world), this sounded like a very good idea, for all parties. I have toured with Arrington twice and we have gotten along very well, and we have become fans of the other. For himself and his fans, you can rest assured I'll do his drum parts justice, and I wish him all of the best. Metal Church will begin recording a new CD this month, and I will do my drum tracks in March. We have dates in Europe in the beginning of June, including the Sweden Rock Festival..."
